What are Frequency and Period?

Frequency (f) is the number of complete cycles or waves that occur in one second. It is measured in Hertz (Hz).

Period (T) is the time it takes to complete one cycle. It is measured in seconds (s).

The relationship between them is:

T = 1 / f

This means: as frequency increases, the period decreases — and as frequency decreases, the period increases.
