What are Period and Frequency?

Period (T) is the time it takes for one complete cycle of a repeating event. It's measured in seconds (s).

Frequency (f) is how many cycles occur in one second. It's measured in Hertz (Hz).

The two are related by the formula:

f = 1 / T

This means that if the period is short, the frequency is high — and vice versa.
